China’s Retail E-Commerce Sales Reached $75 Billion in Q3 2013


In Q3 2013, retail sales via e-commerce in China increased by 4% to 454.8 billion RMB ( $75 billion) from 437.1 billion RMB in Q2. Retail e-commerce accounted for 7.8% of the total retail sales in Q3 in China, totaling 5,800 billion RMB.

Tmall was still the largest B2C online shopping mall accounting for 51.1% of total B2C online retail sales.  Along with JD and Tencent B2C (includes 51buy.com, and buy.qq.com), the top three players in China’s B2C online shopping market accounted for 74.6% of total B2C market sales.
